National Account Manager - Club Channel (Remote)

The National Account Manager – Club Channel for SharkNinja, will play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with the retailer merchants and in collaboration with the SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales, profit, distribution, and digital goals.   This is a fully remote position but ideal locations would be the Boston, MA area or the Bentonville, AR area.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement. Demonstrate best in class account management, driving growth in revenue to achieve or exceed your goals.  

-Help to drive and communicate the overall account strategy and own the outcome for internal and external customer meetings.

-Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “Business Manager” of your account while working with cross-functional teams to ensure goals and deadlines are met.  

-Being financially savvy with strong analytical skills to help the Sales Director manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending and strategy within ROI goals.

-Strong financial and critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin. 

-Execution focused; always being mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.

-Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range sales plans.

-Working with Category Analytics and Strategic sales teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business, and develop promotional plans for each account.  

--Gathering and communicating competitive factors/insights impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)

Attributes and Skills

-Intimate knowledge of how to drive sales at a large national retailer.  Preferred sales experience working with key club channel retailers and/or buying experience at club channel or other major retailers.  

-Gritty sales or merchant leader with strategic vision, execution focused with a track record of overcoming obstacles.  A team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details.

-Strong business acumen and must be financially savvy to analyze sales data to identify trends and expected outcomes.

-Ability to communicate for impact, with both written and verbal communication skills to be able to present strategies and ideas clearly and persuasively. 

-Experienced negotiator with the ability to challenge the status quo and look for new ways of obtaining sales and margin growth.

-Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships with both the customer and internal cross-functional partners.

-Must be able to adapt to change quickly and needs to have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and get things done in a fast-paced environment.  

Education and Experience

-BA/BS Degree or equivalent

-8+ years of major account sales management (preferred within the club channel) or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail.    

-Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

-Position is remote, but ideal base is Bentonville, AR area or Boston, Ma area. 

-Ability to travel roughly 10% to Boston or to visit club channel accounts.
