Director of Sales - Ninja, Walmart (Hybrid)

The Director of Sales will report to the Vice President of Sales and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with Walmart merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, supply chain, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution and digital goals.  This role is based in the Bentonville, AR area and will be hybrid.

Job Responsibilities:

•Demonstrate Best in Class account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals.  Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement.

•Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager “of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at Walmart.  Own the “big picture” but also must have the ability to drill down and own the details as needed.

•Managing customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop quotes for new items, and manage promotional spending within ROI goals.

•Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %. 

•Drive the strategy and own the outcome for customer meetings; leveraging internal support areas.

•Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.

•Working with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long-range plans.

•Working with Category Analysis teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business

•Gathering and communicating competitive factors impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)

•Lead and mentor sales team consisting of Key Account Managers and Replenishment Manager.  Responsible for creating development plans that support your team members’ career goals and aspirations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

•BA/BS Degree or equivalent

•10+ years of national account sales management or equivalent experience working directly with a retailer in a buying or merchandising function.

•Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
