Strategic Sales Channel Manager

The Strategic Sales Channel Manager is responsible for creating pathways for Shark to deliver annual revenue and profitability growth targets for all US accounts. They will achieve these results by developing a clear sales strategy inclusive of promotions, product assortment, and channel management, working with a high-performing cross-functional team including Marketing, Sales, Operations and Finance. This team member will also be a strategic asset for the Sales team in customer line reviews and building buyer relationships offering strategic recommendations on assortments that allow each retailer to gain share of a subcategory. To be successful, the Sales Manager will need to rapidly establish effective relationships with external customers, internal cross functional team members, and develop a highly transparent communication and leadership style. 

Core Responsibilities:

•Main internal resource for developing assortment strategies with marketing focusing out 18 months ahead.

•Develop the placement strategy by subcategory, along with holding sales and marketing alignment meetings to ensure teams have all needed information to successfully confirm placement.

•Ensure confirmed placement leads to desired action, including hitting key financial targets (accurately forecasting door count, sales, margins).

•External partner for sales creating the story and sell-in for New Product Development (NPD) and replacement SKU’s for line reviews and buyer presentations.

•Collaborates internally (Marketing) and externally (Sales) to define key promotions that will allow SharkNinja to win market share, profitably, with minimal channel conflicts.

•Develops assortment strategy that leads to margin enhancement while taking into consideration tariffs, Fx rate, FOB challenges and partners with PD on any gaps to growth.

•Set targets for the Marketing / Product Development teams in pricing needed to achieve assortment placement and major promotional offers.

•Strategizes pricing for NPD and CORE portfolio and the impact that would be made on the P&L as well assumption on the additional demand based upon these changes.

•Develop proper controls to monitor for channel conflicts and report consistently to management.

•Develop the tools for placement strategy along with holding sales and marketing alignment meetings by brand to ensure teams have all needed information to successfully confirm placement.

•Support sales by traveling to customer meetings and providing strategic value to customer and field sales team including product knowledge, strategic vision of HQ and more.

•Develop and pressure test roadmap with marketing teams to provide winning assortment to customers and report to management on progress on regular basis. 

•Collaborate with Trade Marketing and Digital Execution on launch strategies for NPD ensuring a successful launch across the market on all NPD’s.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related experience

•3-5 years experience in Sales, Marketing, Channel Management

•Consumer goods industry experience with sales support experience and knowledge/exposure

•Experience working with cross functional teams 

•Strong planning, prioritization, and project management competencies

•Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, writing and collaboration abilities

•Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment are a must

•Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

•10-15% travel to accounts, trade shows, selling events
