The Marketing function at SharkNinja is directly accountable for achieving a high rate of sale on all products, focusing on sell-in and sell-through of the portfolio, both new products and base business. SharkNinja Marketers have a general manager mindset and the ability to collaborate and operate across functional boundaries. 

Within Marketing, the Director of Product Innovation and International leads two segments of the business: 

•Innovation- the development and execution of roadmaps, front end innovation strategies, price and positioning, concept and messaging development and validation to deliver high confidence in preparation to tool release. 

•International - responsible for developing and executing the innovation roadmap, marketing strategy, and communication campaigns for regions outside of the North America

The individual will have a passion for bringing voice of the consumer to the organization, driving innovative, and identify growth paths.  Collaboration with Marketing colleagues in Go-To-Market and Comms strategy is critical. Key cross-functional relationships include Product development, Engineering, Consumers insights, and country teams.

The Director is a strategic thinker who strives to align category goals and objectives with company mission, moving forward vigorously with consensus.

Your ability to pivot quickly and your passion for both innovation and the consumer will impact on the consumer experience and in driving sales. 

 

Responsibilities:

·Global Road Map strategy: lead the Product Development category strategy and next generation products: category/consumer/competitive insights and assortment gaps.

·Global Competitive Landscape Assessment: Assess and drive cross-functional understanding of category, competitive and consumer landscape - with focus on unmet needs, to identify market opportunities and gaps.

·Global Portfolio Strategy: Work cross functionally with Go-To-Market and Category Management to define the right portfolio Strategy. Ensure proposed product viability, cost and timelines fit meet retailer reset windows and deliver on market and margin targets.

·International Assortment & Promotional Strategy: co-lead with Category Management and Product teams the definition of product line-up, enabling optimal assortment to differentiate and win across key retailers. Provide category direction and inputs into promotional strategy across channels.

·International Communication & Marketing Plans: develop and execute best-in-class big ideas and marketing communications to drive preference, purchase, and advocacy across the consumer & shopper journey (i.e. TV, digital, PR, POP material, etc.). Develop sell-in materials for sales presentations and customer meetings  

·International Go-to-market plans: co-lead launch plans by channel, bringing consumer, category and product expertise to sales directors / VPs as well as leveraging retailers’ feedbacks to inform innovation pipeline and product development.

·In-market performance, P&L management: closely track in-market performance (sales, margin, share) and identify opportunities to improve or accelerate momentum for existing line-up as well as recently launched new items, delivering top and bottom line goals.

·Lead brand positioning, product value proposition, and price strategy 

·Be a strategic advisor for go-to-market and creative asset development 

·Share best practices and learning across businesses 

·Mentor and develop team members to grow within their careers 

 

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or equivalent, MBA desired

·10+ years in product, brand management and leadership experience within a consumer products company  

·Leadership experience including demonstrated ability to lead and energetically motivate direct reports as well as cross functionally with other teams who contribute to the overall accomplishment of goals. 

·Lead front innovation strategies and opportunities, synthesizing learnings and recommending optimizations in real-time 

·Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills

·Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast paced, deadline driven environment

·Experience in working with global marketing teams
